A museum devoted mainly to medieval art.
Housed in a beautiful early 16th century convent, it is one of the best German museums of medieval art (12th to 15th century), some of which came from churches and buildings destroyed during World War II. There are also pieces of silverware, metalwork, porcelain and earthenware from North German factories. Then, a part is reserved for the interior decorations of the rich merchants of the Hanseatic League.
