RATZEBURGER DOM (CATHEDRAL OF RATZEBURG)
The cathedral of Ratzenpourg is a beautiful Romanesque building in red brick.
The cathedral of Ratzeburg is a beautiful Nordic Romanesque red-brick building, a rare occurrence. Its construction began around 1160-1170 and was completed with the late Romanesque south porch in 1220. Multiple influences intersect and complement each other in the architecture of the cathedral as well as in its interior decorations.
On leaving the cathedral, walk along the left side of the building to the beautiful cloister (Kloster) and garden.
