The museum of the city of Kiel.
The Kiel City Museum occupies a beautiful aristocratic house from 1616 in Dane Street, a rather cute central shopping street. The temporary exhibitions change regularly and illustrate the culture and history of the city in the 19th and 20th centuries through a variety of art and everyday objects. Behind the museum, not far from it, is the remains of a monastery with its tower and the tomb of Kiel's founder, Adolf IV.
