A ducal residence from 1268, nestled in an island that is no longer entirely one, it is the largest castle in Schleswig-Holstein. The building visible today dates back to the th and th centuries. The beautiful Gothic hall Königshalle and the chapel (th century) have baroque ornaments. You can visit them separately, otherwise you can see them by visiting the Regional Museum of Schleswig Holstein in the castle. Medieval collection and temporary exhibitions. Entry is expensive.
