Its superb Renaissance facade on the Markt is one of the city's symbols. Built between 1405 and 1410, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Rathaus houses a real jewel, not to be missed during your stay: the upper room, Obere Halle, has a boat hanging from the ceiling (if, if!); it was dedicated to meetings. The golden chamber, Guldenkammer, gathers the archives. These rooms are sumptuous and to be observed during the guided tour. The lower room, Unterhaus Halle, on the other hand, is free of charge and opens directly onto the market square at the corner of the town hall. In the Middle Ages, it housed the market. The troubadours gave shows there. Today, there are shops there.
