BREMEN CITY HALL
Town hall built between 1405 and 1410, featuring a sumptuous upper room, a golden room and a lower room.
Its superb Renaissance façade on the Markt is one of the symbols of the city. Built between 1405 and 1410 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Rathaus houses a real gem not to be missed during your stay: the upper room, Obere Halle, features a ship hanging from the ceiling (yes, yes!); it was used for meetings. The Golden Chamber, Guldenkammer, houses the archives. These are sumptuous rooms to behold on a guided tour. The lower room, Unterhaus Halle, on the other hand, is open to the public.
