The development of Kassel's large public park began in 1680. A stroll through the park is highly recommended in summer. You'll discover beautiful Baroque landscaping along long, bucolic avenues, dotted with large ponds. Siebenbergen Island is particularly interesting from a botanical point of view. The Orangerie and the Marmorbad are architecturally interesting, especially the marble bath, one of the most important Baroque works in the country. A pleasant breath of fresh air.
