This superb abbey is one of the most exciting tours in the Hanover region. It was founded in 1231 and transformed during the Reformation into a Protestant foundation. The ensemble is well preserved and offers, besides its remarkable architecture, beautiful works of the Middle ages and beautiful frescoes.
