In the heart of the Normandy Bocage, the Pontécoulant estate was owned by the Le Doulcet de Pontécoulant family from the 14th century onwards. The château, as it stands today, was built in the 16th century on a former stronghold, then enlarged in the second half of the 18th century. Listed as a Monument Historique, the estate features a magnificent main building of schist and granite, opening onto an immense main courtyard. And its English-style park is the ideal place for a romantic stroll, before a break at Augustine's Boudoir.

Personne à l'accueil, juste un mot disant qu'une visite est en cours de visite sans indication d'horaire de prochaine visite (pas d'indication non plus sur le site) donc attente 10 minutes et ne sachant pas s'il faut attendre 30 ou 60 minutes de plus: non visité et je n'y retournerai jamais !
