In the heart of the Normandy Bocage, the Pontécoulant estate was owned by the Le Doulcet de Pontécoulant family from the 14th century onwards. The château, as it stands today, was built in the 16th century on a former stronghold, then enlarged in the second half of the 18th century. Listed as a Monument Historique, the estate features a magnificent main building of schist and granite, opening onto an immense main courtyard. And its English-style park is the ideal place for a romantic stroll, before a break at Augustine's Boudoir.

Tous les ans nous organisons notre pique nique entre cousins et cousines et cette année nous avons décidé de visiter le château de Pontecoulant (à 20km de chez nous). Cette visite est enrichissante avec une guide très gentille et qui est passionnée. Et nous avons pu pique-niqué en face dans le bois où sont installés deux tables. Nous avons passé un agréable journée. Merci
