Just a stone's throw from the Elisenbrunnen and with a direct view of its park, this restaurant in the center of Aachen offers a classic menu for a German restaurant: schnitzels, potato soup, meats in sauce, but also a few Italian and French dishes (pasta, steak in Béarnaise sauce, etc.). Despite the highly touristy location, the service is extremely diligent (some of the waiters also speak French). You'll appreciate the large terrace in fine weather, and the welcoming fireplace in autumn and winter.
