LUDWIG FORUM

This former umbrella factory built in the 1920 s was transformed into a beautiful museum of contemporary art. The Ludwig was great collectors and they demonstrated this by presenting these works covering the last fifty years of world artistic creation: from Dubuffet to the pop art, from Rauschenberg to Jones, to the great contemporary German artists (Penck, Baselitz), here are many of the most important artists. The collection is presented as a kaleidoscope of a world that has gradually evolved over the last thirty years. Its strength lies in the open approach of works of art of five cultural regions: Europe, North America, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia.
