Castle built around 1100 on a huge rock 154 meters above sea level to serve as a customs post for Cochem.
The town's landmark, nestled on a huge rock 154 metres above sea level, overlooks Cochem. Built around 1100, it served as a customs house in the Middle Ages. Destroyed in the 17th century, it was rebuilt 200 years later in neo-Gothic style. There are treasures to be discovered in every room of the castle. The Reichsburg promises total immersion, with chivalric and medieval feasts every Friday and Saturday!
