The ruins of Landshut Castle overlook the old town and are a must-see in Bernkastel. From the panoramic window, the view over the Moselle valley is splendid. Guided tours are available to learn more about this historic building, which was probably built around the year 1000. One of the oldest remains of the Moselle! The castle has been in ruins since a fire in the 17th century and has been renovated for years. Since 2017, one can visit the place, walk around the castle and also eat there.
