MUSEUM FÜR MODERNE KUNST (MUSEUM OF MODERN ART)
Museum of contemporary art in a historic building featuring a collection of American and European art from the 1960s.
The Museum of Modern Art is one of the best contemporary art museums on the continent. The museum is currently comprised of three buildings. The historic building, recognizable by its triangular shape, exhibits classics (Joseph Beuys, Andy Warhol or Jasper John) which coexist with the astonishing Tischgesellschaft by Katharina Fritsch. American and European art from the 1960s forms the core of the collection. After your visit, try the excellent pastries in the cafeteria: almost high art. The museum continues in the MMK Tower where more recent works and temporary exhibitions are on display. Finally, the Zollamt MMK shows only temporary exhibitions. Guided tours of all three museums are available.

The restaurant cafétaria is not bad and you are not obliged to visit the museum to eat: an extra good point...
