Located west of Frankfurt, Höchst is a wholly-fledged district on the right bank of the Main River; But it looks more like a small medieval town on the edge of the Main. The fortifications, the castle, the Justinus church (the th century) and the Bolongaro Palace are to be visited. You will also find a porcelain factory and a museum of this "art of fire".

Höchst est une petite commune à part entière, bien qu´elle soit en réalité un quartier de Francfort. Son centre ville est très chouette, avec des maisons à colombages, une jolie place avec des restaurants offrant de grandes terrasses équipées des grandes tables "`l´allemande" où on peut déguster des produits locaux comme le "käses mit Musik, la grüne Soße et l´Apfelwein. L´eglise est très intéressante. On y donne des concerts. Et l´été, une troupe se produit dans les jardins du Palais et joue des pièces de Molière en Hessig, le dialecte de la Hesse
