The four sandstone cariatids decorated the old art museum and represent the great arts: architecture, painting, poetry and music. The sculptures of about four meters, created in 1880 by Leo Müsch, are in front of the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, which replaced the old art museum, which was severely damaged during the Second World War.
