MUSEUM OF ART
Museum exhibiting sculptures, Baroque graphics, paintings and contemporary photographs by leading artists.
Located in the center of Düsseldorf, right on the Rhine, the Kunstpalast opened its doors in 2001. Over the years, the house has gained an international reputation for its quality exhibitions focusing on great artists such as Miró, Dali, Warhol, Caravaggio. The permanent exhibition consists of medieval sculptures, an exceptional collection of baroque graphics, paintings from the Düsseldorf School of Painting and Expressionism, and contemporary photographs. The Hentrich glass collection is also located in the Kunstpalast. It is the most comprehensive glass collection in Europe. It traces the development of glass without interruption from the luxury glass objects of the pre-Roman period to those of contemporary studios. This museum of fine arts also displays a fine collection of European artists, both German and Dutch, including a painting by Rubens, Venus and Adonis.
