HALLMACKENREUTHER
This social bar is a real Colonese institution. The vintage interior seduces with surprising elements, such as the staircase leading to the gallery, the pretty counter, the large lamps covered with photos and the wall decoration with neon lights in the shape of female silhouettes. It is an elegant place with a unique atmosphere, which has not only a bar area, but also a lounge and even a club in the basement. We offer you a dozen cocktails, Kölsch and a dozen other beers, some wines and a wide choice of alcohols, and of course hot and cold soft drinks. On the menu are specialities from New York Jewish cuisine, such as burgers and pastrami sandwiches or matzo dumpling soup. In summer, the large terrace on the square in front of the bar invites you to immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the Brüsseler Platz. The name of the bar, which is quite difficult to pronounce, is also the homonym of a character in a sketch by the comedian Vicco von Bülow alias Loriot, and therefore a tribute to this comic, very famous in Germany.
