These three main city gates are the remains of Cologne's medieval fortifications dating back to the century.
The Cologne gates are the remains of medieval fortifications dating from the 12th century. They form a singular contrast to the modern buildings of the city. The three main city gates are Eigelsteintor (at Ebertplatz), Hahnentor (at Rudolfplatz), Severinstor (at Chlodwigplatz). Take a stroll through the streets to discover them!
