WALLRAF RICHARTZ MUSEUM
Museum featuring a remarkable collection of paintings and pictures by Cologne masters such as Dürer, Cranach and Burgkmair.
The Wallraf Richartz Museum takes its name from two great donors, Canon Wallraf and the businessman Richartz, who bequeathed a remarkable collection of paintings to the city in the 19th century. Art lovers can admire the Cologne masters (15th century). The paintings of Dürer, Burgkmair and Cranach are also worth a look. Dutch and Flemish masters (Frans Hals, Rembrandt, Rubens) and Italians (Canaletto) complete the collection. The 19th century section offers works by the German Romantics and the French Impressionists (Monet, Courbet, etc.).
