SCHNÜTGEN MUSEUM
Museum of Christian Art featuring sculptures, liturgical vestments, talking busts, crucifixes, combs, works of art, textiles...
An important museum of Christian art from the late Middle Ages to the Baroque period, it is housed in the beautiful church of Santa Cecilia, and one can appreciate the unity of tone between the collection and the monument. Both sculptures and liturgical vestments are on display. Many of these objects are worth a visit, such as the radiant Parler bust, the Crucifix of St. George and the comb of St. Heribert, a detailed ivory sculpture. In addition, the collection includes wood and stone sculptures, gold and stained glass works of art, as well as rare ivory pieces and textiles.
