The Rhineland city could not fail to celebrate its child prodigy. The Beethoven Festival is one of the oldest music festivals in Germany. Hold on to your hats: it has been going on since 1845! It is almost 180 years since the event was created by Franz Liszt. Every year at the end of summer, the festival brings together classical music artists from all over the world in the entire city. A total of about 70 concerts by international orchestras, ensembles and soloists take place at more than 20 venues in and around Bonn.
