One is square, grey and modern, the other is white and graceful. These were the residences of the Chancellor. The palace Schaumburg, built in 1858-1860, welcomed the Chancellors until 1976, when Helmut Schmidt moved to the new residence. Today, the buildings will host the Ministry of Cooperation and Development.
