BEETHOVEN MEMORIAL
This statue of Beethoven, which has stood on Cathedral Square in central Bonn since 1845, was donated by Franz Liszt.
You will see Beethoven's statue upon arrival in the centre. She has been a throne since 1845 on the cathedral square. Beethoven is faithful to the image of the legend: long, proud and tormented hair. The statue is a gift from Franz Liszt. In the basement are the scores of the 9 th Symphony and the Missa Solemnis. You will be able to compare this statue with that of the armed concrete in front of the Beethovenhalle, the work of Klaus Kammerich of 1986 (which is called "Beethon", in reference to material…).
