SAINT-BONIFACE CHURCH
Catholic church dedicated to Saint Boniface, built in 1844-1849 and featuring two neo-Gothic towers built in 1866.
Dedicated to Saint Boniface, evangelizer of the Germans, this church is the main Catholic church in Wiesbaden. Built in 1844-1849 to replace another building that had disappeared in a fire, it did not have its two exterior neo-Gothic towers completed until 1866. Composed of a single nave, it has an astonishing choir where late Romanesque arches multiply. Partly destroyed in 1945, it was restored between 1949 and 1965.
