This is our favorite café-bar-restaurant in Mainz. At first glance, it looks like a church. But it's actually in an old hospital, with a pointed ceiling (hence the confusion) that the Heiliggeist (literally the Holy Spirit) has set up shop. It's a grand place, where you can eat well for a reasonable price, and enjoy a drink on the terrace in summer. On the menu, Mediterranean-influenced cuisine with the house specialty, Croustarte, a kind of pizza revisited with a variety of toppings.

In a group or couple, for a drink or a meal, you can always find a little square inside this former hospital become restaurant or on the terrace outside not far from Rhein. The prices are more than correct and dishes inspired recipes Italian or Spanish, not very fine, but good. A special atmosphere emerges from the place. Each season, it is a real pleasure! It is also possible bruncher the weekend.
