St. Stephen's Church is a collegiate church located in the city of Mainz, in the Rhineland-Palatinate region. Built in the Xᵉ century at the instigation of Archbishop Willigis, it served as an imperial oratory. With over a thousand years of history, this church is an outstanding example of Gothic architecture. It is also famous for its magnificent windows by the great artist Marc Chagall. L’église qui a plus de mille ans, accueille une grande surface de vitraux modernes (177 m²) conçus par Marc Chagall et Charles Marcq ainsi qu’un orgue rénové. Le site en ligne de l’église propose un riche programme de musique religieuse et les horaires des méditations sur les vitraux avec leur auteur, Monsignore Klaus Mayer. Haut lieu de la vie religieuse de Mayence, cette église est un témoignage de la mission de paix qui est lui dévolue, les vitraux y contribuent magnifiquement.
