Heidelberg Marketing GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the City of Heidelberg. Its main mission is to promote the city of Heidelberg nationally and internationally, and to position it clearly as a global brand in selected areas. The core business areas are tourism and congresses, as well as science, business, culture, events and retail. Heidelberg Marketing also manages tourist information and organizes all major events such as the Christmas Market, Heidelberg Autumn, the Heidelberg Wine Village and the Castle Illuminations. The Managing Director of Heidelberg Marketing GmbH is Mathias Schiemer, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board is Mayor Eckart Würzner. Contact points for visitors are the tourist office at the main railway station, the tourist office at Neckarmünzplatz and the tourist office at the town hall.
