The old Heidelberg University is the oldest in Germany. Founded in 1386 by Prince Ruprecht I, it received unparalleled radiation until the wars of the th century and fell into désuétude. His dynamism came back to the th century under the leadership of Charles Frédéric of Baden. His current reputation is still very jealous and the University attracts more than 27 000 students.

Heidelberg has not only one of the oldest European universities, but this is pleasantly into a colourful streets and details (statuettes, stucco...) who make this large district a haven of culture and peaceful softness.
