PALATINATE MUSEUM
Museum with café and terrace, retracing the history of the region through sections on painting, archaeology and sculpture.
The Museum of the Palatinate, in German Kurpfälzische Museum, houses a collection tracing the history of the region, as well as sections of painting, archaeology and sculpture. Worth seeing: the altarpiece of the 12 apostles, dating from 1509; and many romantic paintings. In the same building is the Heidelberger Kunstverein which organizes exhibitions of contemporary art. The museum has a very pleasant café with a terrace overlooking the inner courtyard, where you can enjoy the babbling of a beautiful fountain.
