Fabulous 500-hectare island with dense vegetation, alluvial forest, beaches and rich flora and fauna.
The island of Ketsch extends over 500 hectares and offers numerous signposted paths to explore. Access is via the old wooden bridge, the "Altrheinbrücke Ketsch", the gateway to this fabulous island between the Rhine and the Old Rhine. This green paradise features dense vegetation, alluvial forest and riverside beaches. During your walk, you'll discover a wealth of flora and fauna. Wild boar, dragonflies, weasels, spotted salamanders and a wide variety of birds live in this natural area of meadows and forests. Allow around an hour and a half for a tour of the island, and don't forget your mosquito repellent!
