FORTIFIED WALL AND DEFENSIVE TOWERS
Well-preserved enclosure with four towers now housing a museum of lead figurines around the town of Eberbach.
The rather well-preserved town wall surrounded the medieval town of Eberbach. Of the four towers, the most important (Haspelturm) dates from the 14th century; it now houses a museum of lead figurines, but you can also see the dungeon - in fact a cellar, where prisoners were locked up. The Pulverturm is located next to the tourist office; it was built in the 13th and 15th centuries as a defensive tower. The round Rosenturm is the oldest of the medieval towers.
