HOTEL ABALON
In a small, quiet and slightly sloping street south of the city centre, this hotel is a mixture of glass and concrete. You won't really see the building from the street: it's under your feet, or almost, on a slope. The colours compensate for the coldness of concrete corridors. Purple colour for doors and stairs, bright orange for corridors. The glass elevator only goes down (at least to access its quarters). It may be the only hotel in Stuttgart where you have to go down to the lower floors to get to the rooms... Concrete corridors therefore, and in the open air, but the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Your office/television is in the middle of town. Excellent breakfast, good welcome. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the city centre, and 10 minutes from the Zoo tram.
