On the outskirts of Stuttgart, in the Weissenhof housing estate, an architectural ensemble by Le Corbusier is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Designed in 1927 in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret, these houses are an expression of the Swiss architect's quest to standardize housing at the beginning of the 20th century. The ensemble comprises a single-family home and a semi-detached house. A museum was created on site in 2006.
