Museum featuring painting and sculpture from the late century to the present day, with temporary exhibitions.
Located on Schloßplatz and Königstraße, the Kunstmuseum opened in 2005. This was once the Kronprinzenpalais of Crown Prince Karl of Württemberg. Now it's an enormous stone cube set within a glass second cube, housing works of painting and sculpture from the late 19th century to the present day. Not to mention a major collection by the ferocious Otto Dix and a number of fine temporary exhibitions. The museum was voted Museum of the Year 2021 by the International Association of Art Critics.
