JAZZHAUS FREIBURG

For music lovers of all kinds, the Jazzhaus is Freiburg's must-see music venue. Open since 1987, it's located near Freiburg station in a former wine cellar, said to be one of the city's most beautiful. A landmark of Freiburg's nightlife, it welcomes you almost every evening for a variety of concerts. And there's something for everyone: jazz, of course, but also blues, soul, pop and rock. Supported by a public-private partnership, it was awarded the "Spielstättenprogrammpreis Rock, Pop, Jazz" in 2013 for its high-quality cultural program and its contribution to German cultural life. The venue organizes over 250 concerts a year, attracting bands from all over the world and an equally diverse audience. From international stars to up-and-coming bands, the atmosphere is one of diversity and discovery. It can also be privatized for receptions, weddings, birthdays and other events.
