CAFÉ MOHRENTOPF
In the section of small adorable cafés, you can say that a pearl was found in the Haslacherstrasse. Hidden behind the premises of Kulturpark, we certainly did not expect to discover such a cute place behind the buildings. The decor is quite girly, and it gives the tone. The open-air terrace calls for relaxation and gives only one desire: sit down with a drink. Sweet sweets are in honor, the Schweinereien Süße as they are called here: pies, cookies, parts of cakes but also waffles… It's the paradise of sweet. And it would be wrong to deprive ourselves, everything is home, everything is delicious without being disgusting or too heavy (main defect of German pastries). Special mention for waffles that are excellent, especially salt with salty butter (only where you will find in Freiburg). And to encourage you to come back, the proposals are different every day. You can enjoy your sweet and fresh juices and drinks, or even ice from the Hofeis brand (popular local brand) for the gourmands. You can also opt for the salty snack snacks. In the programme: Salted waffles, Flammkuchen, small pizzas, and this is the opportunity to test a house speciality directly related to the patronne's guadeloupéennes origins: the cod hat. Once simpler, made home, good. We are repeating ourselves. At the Alexandra Elatré service and his associate are lovely and, good point, she speaks perfectly French. For the frame, the atmosphere and the delicacies offered, we return again and again.
