CERAMIC MUSEUM
Museum exhibiting the workshop of master potter Josef Maier, potter Egon Bregger, the evolution of Bregger's ceramics...
Push the door and enter the workshop of the master potter Josef Maier who exercised in this basement from 1898 to 1940. His workshop illustrates this tradition of tradition in the upper Rhine. The floor is dedicated to the potter artist Eggon Bregger. He had resumed the workshop in 1948, after his marriage with Emma, daughter of Josef Maier. The presentation of the ceramics of Bregger shows its evolution in Bauhaus style towards an art inspired by old ceramic shapes. On the same floor are groups of figures from Elisabeth Winter-Bonn. Temporary exhibitions of Badisches Landesmuseum and exhibitions of contemporary ceramist workshops regularly occupy the ground floor.
