WALLFAHRTSKIRCHE MARIA IN DER TANNE - OUR LADY OF THE PINES CHURCH
The roots of the pilgrimage of "Sainte Marie au Sapin" in Triberg derive from a beautiful history. The water from the nearby source was known to be miraculous and to cure many diseases. In recognition of his gratitude, a tailor slipped a small statue of Mary in 1644 in the hollow of a tree. Fallen into oblivion, it was rediscovered in 1692 where the current sanctuary was built. The church is very beautiful, baroque to wish. The master altar is Anton Joseph Schupp's work, realized in 1705, with astonishing beauty and beauty. To note the lodge of the sacristain is one of the oldest buildings in Triberg. The place is charming!
