This café-bistro serves traditional German cuisine that is hearty, tasty and good value for money.
The "counter" of the writer Joseph Roth semble straight out of one of his novels on Old Europe. Always full, this small café-bistro, with its checkered tablecloths and piles of books along the walls, is a haven of peace in this lively neighbourhood. The cuisine is simple, classic, very correct and the prices are more than reasonable: let yourself be tempted by their delicious Spätzle, their Schupfnudeln, or even a Goulash... And for dessert, try the Kalter Hund (cold dog), a thin slice of typical Berlin chocolate cake.

The service here is excellent, the waiters and staff are very friendly and the food arrived extremely fast.
The ambience complements the traditional german look, you can read a lot of books and newspapers and appreciate the pictures that hang on the walls.
I couldn't leave this restaurant without giving it 5 stars, I would definitely recommend it a lot
