Cheap youth hostel with bar, close to Warschauer Strasse, bars and shopping facilities on Simon-Dach-Strasse in Berlin.
One of the best choices in the area for small budgets: small, funky and international hostel. The themed dorms are all decorated differently and are quite bright and airy. If it is full, the staff will always find a solution to make you sleep on mattresses in one of the rooms. You can also hang out at the bar until the sun comes up, rent bikes and have your room at your disposal whenever you want. A warm, young and international address. Kitchen, Internet, bike rental, laundry.

Die Betten müssen selbst be- und abgezogen werden.
An sich war es leider auch an einem Wochentag sehr laut, vor dem Hostel wurden offen Drogen konsumiert - war für eine Nacht OK.

On one hand... beds are cheap, location is reasonably convenient, and I made some great friends here.
On the other hand... it is chaotically run, the toilets/bathrooms are really quite bleak/usually dirty, and in the few days I was here there were 3 phones and a wallet stolen in separate incidents (that's just the ones I heard about too) - and each time a theft was reported, the staff pretty much shrugged their shoulders.
In the end I give it 3 stars based on my personal experience... but I guess visit with care, and protect your valuables!
