Statue of a Red Army soldier erected to commemorate the sacrifice of Soviet soldiers during the Battle of Berlin.
Curiously located in the western part of the city, this memorial, erected as early as 1945, recalls the sacrifice of Soviet soldiers during the Battle of Berlin. It is an impressive piece, consisting of a bronze statue of a Red Army soldier, marble remains from Hitler's chancellery and two T34 tanks, which legend has it that they were the first Russian tanks to enter Berlin. Nearly 2,500 Red Army soldiers are buried here.
