The stadium was completely renovated before hosting the 2006 World Cup final in Berlin.

Designed by Werner March for the 1936 Olympic Games, the stadium was supposed to showcase Aryan propaganda, but it was African-American Jesse Owens who came away with the honours: a bitter failure for Hitler! The stadium was completely renovated to host the 2006 World Cup Final. A visit is a must for any sports fan, but also for those interested in history. You can also come and see a concert or a Hertha BSC match.
