GEORG KOLBE MUSEUM
Museum exhibiting works by a Berlin naturalist sculptor who was considered Germany's best sculptor in 1920.
Georg Kolbe, a Berlin naturalist sculptor, who in the 1920s was regarded as the best sculptor in Germany, worked all his life in the studio that today serves as a museum and exhibition space for his works in the Westend district. Here one can admire the pieces of his young years, full of grace, but also his production dating from the Nazi period, which is rarer and thus becomes much more rigid and darker. The museum also organises temporary exhibitions about other sculptors, such as Rodin.
