Museum dedicated to the gay movement, featuring books, periodicals, photographic collections, posters, films and audio cassettes.
Funded by donations and run by volunteers, the Schwules Museum is the first museum devoted to the gay movement. Its temporary exhibitions are supported by a wealth of documentation: the library and archives include over 800 books, 3,000 periodicals and countless collections of photographs, posters, films and audio cassettes. In recent years, the museum has renewed its concept to give greater prominence to the diversity of the queer and LGBTQIA+ community.
