The Museum of Decorative Arts, the oldest museum in the Kulturforum, has a magnificent collection of objects ranging from the Middle Ages to Art Deco. On 4 floors, ivory sculptures, jewellery, tapestries, furniture, crockery, ceramics and silverware. The basement presents an interesting retrospective of 20th century design furniture. The only drawback is that the explanatory labels are only in German! The fashion floor has been given a real facelift. Magnificent dresses and suits from all eras and a nice section dedicated to modern designers.
