A delightful little neo-Baroque garden with a cool lawn and staircase fountain for playing Frisbee.

This delightful little neo-baroque garden is a real surprise in Neukölln. This peaceful, timeless haven contrasts with the rather gray and noisy Karl-Marx-Straße neighborhood. Locals like to read and play Frisbee with their families in the summer, sitting on the cool lawn in front of the staircase fountain. The former orangery is now a contemporary art gallery with temporary exhibitions. There is also a charming café with a lovely terrace, perfect for sipping one, two or three Spritz for the aperitif!

Une oasis au coeur d'un quartier populaire de Berlin

A chacun de mes séjours estivaux à Berlin, je vais écouter le concert en plein air gratuit du dimanche en fin d'après-midi, jazz ou musique du monde en général. Il y a souvent un petit buffet payant (grillades, salades...) à prix modiques, et toujours boissons et gâteaux au café Zitronencafé. L'histoire du parc elle-même est intéressante puisqu'il a été aménagé dans les années 1910 dans une ancienne gravière, selon la volonté de l'industriel qui l'exploitait.
