BÖHMISCHES DORF
In the century, this charming district was home to Bohemia's Protestant minorities, as well as a chapel and a number of attractive houses.
This pretty district, centered around Richardplatz, is known as the "Bohemian Village". In the 18th century, Protestant minorities from Bohemia (now the Czech Republic) took refuge in Lutheran Germany, at the invitation of Frederick William I. They founded a parish in this village on the edge of Berlin. They founded a parish in this village on the outskirts of Berlin. A lovely chapel and a few pretty houses remain from that era. A very pleasant place to enjoy a coffee away from touristy Berlin. One weekend in December, the neighborhood hosts a charming Christmas market.
