EINSTEINTURM
The Einstein Tower is part of the Telegrafenberg area. It is a solar tower with an integrated optical system for projecting the image of the Sun at great distances. It is named after the famous scientist because it was originally built to test some of his theories of relativity. Its architecture, of expressionist type, designed from bricks, cement and reinforced concrete, was the work of the German architect Erich Mendelsohn (1887-1953) around 1920. It is true that it stands in stark contrast to the rest of the scientific complex.
